History of the Institution

Welcome to City College of Education. It is said that the status of the Teacher reflects the Socio-Cultural ethos of the society and no people can be raised above the level of the Teacher.

Such exhortations are an expression of the recognition of the important role played by teachers as transmitters and as inspirers of man’s eternal quest for knowledge, of himself and of his external environment. Also, the role of the teacher has been eulogized in our ancient past in the ideal of the ‘GURU’.

In order to epitomize the above-mentioned role expectation, City College of Education (CCE) was established in the year 2008 at Balsamand Road, Arya Nagar in a beautiful and serene atmosphere which is very near to internationally acclaimed Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar (Haryana).

City College of Education (CCE) is recognized by the Northern Regional Committee of National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, which is a statutory body of the Union Government established under an act of Parliament.

Earlier City College of Education was affiliated to an “A” NAAC Grade awarded university Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Now, as per order of Haryana Government, all educational colleges of Haryana have been affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind—a state Government university of Haryana.

Accordingly, City College of Education is now affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind from 2016-17 onwards for B.Ed regular course and B.S.E.H., Bhiwani & S.C.E.R.T., Gurgaon for D.Ed (D.El.Ed) Course.

City College of Education (CCE) is an institute where we don’t just teach, we build Character.

It is an epitome of the best blend of virtues of old & new Sanskars. We feel proud to get the “A” Grade award continuously for 5 years from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
