City College of Education-CCE has been recognized in the year 2008 by Northern Regional Committee of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi which is a statutory body of Union of India passed under parliament Act. City College of Education-CCE is a composite institution offering multiple teacher education programmes (B.Ed & D.Ed Regular Courses) as defined at 2.b in NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulation, 2014. Again after passing of NCTE Regulation 2014, CCE got revised recognition order from N.R.C., N.C.T.E., Jaipur on 6th June, 2015 vide letter no. NRC/NCTE/HR-Common order/2015/114491.

Now as per director Higher Education Haryana office memo no 20/9-2014 UNP (1) dated 25-04-2016, the state Govt. of Haryana has decided to allow the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (C.R.S.U.) -Jind to affiliate all the B.Ed college in Haryana in conformity with the university Act.
